Personality: Kavan, for the most part, is carefree and very informal outside of his throne room. He can be a bit sarcastic and rude with his enemies or sometimes to people he knows, though he doesn’t quite notice this. He shows general concern for children, often underestimating them; and for his people. Despite his happy personality, he can be quite serious if the time comes, however, even when himself is in peril, he will still act in a leisurely manner; other people at risk, he tends to be quicker.
He has a bad habit to arrive late to parties and normal occasions, this done on purpose at times to make the occasion seem shorter for him. Even if he is attacked, he will not make a move until very late (this gets people to think he’s in danger without realizing it, when at times he does). On land, he is a bit wobbly and for this, he lets people think he’s a klutz, though he is quite stealthy on land but more in the sea. He is quite uncomfortable being out of the Darya Kingdom, but that’s due to his longing feeling to always be submerged in water.
He respects all the other kingdoms’ customs and does his best to follow them when he visits. He’s on good terms with Queen Sidra, but pities her and King Ravid for having to take the throne at such young ages. He’s best friends with King Elliot and good friends with Queen Gardenia. He’s not as acquainted with the generals of the other kingdoms nor King Sonal, but respects them all the same. For his own general, he thinks she’s too serious but admires and respects that she’s a great general.

- he becomes tired in long hours in the heat
- almost always hungry
- he’s prone to parasites if his hygiene isn’t well or if he doesn’t eat right
- vulnerable to thunder (even the tiniest shock)
Background:
Kavan was born to King Brooke and Queen Marina, the younger brother to Helios and Abraxas. When he was three years old, his father was killed during an underwater volcano eruption. Queen Marina took the throne until Helios would become of age. Thinking the throne would never fall to him, Kavan associated himself with anything but royalty seeing that as Helios’ job. Kavan preferred to leave the castle or go out onto land, he never listened to the political affairs that involved his kingdom. When he was twelve, he wanted to become a soldier for his kingdom due to his admiration for the previous general. He wanted to make a difference in his kingdom as he saw that being prince was a useless title that he carried around. After training with his brothers and private mentor for eight years (still wanting to be a soldier), Queen Marina died mysteriously and Helios took the throne.
Kavan mourned the loss of his mother and slowly slipped into reclusiveness. For six months, Helios ruled Darya Kingdom while Kavan went to Gaia to broaden his horizon and find a way to get over his depression. There he met Princess Gardenia (at the time she was 9) who he thought was cute and like a little sister to him. He also met Elliot L. Rose whom he stayed and trained with becoming best friends, however, during this time Helios was planning on joining the Darya Kingdom with the Twilight Kingdom. Disgusted and furious, Abraxas with the help of the previous general overthrew Helio, sentencing what should have been death to banishment from Darya. Kavan quickly returned home after hearing this.
Abraxas was loved by the people; Kavan felt guilty that he hadn’t been there to help Abraxas (who has always been physically ill) with Helios so he stayed by his brother’s side during Abraxas’ entire reign. However, 2 years later, Abraxas succumbed to his illness and without having been married or baring an heir; he gave the throne to Kavan before he died. This caused Kavan to regret his entire childhood though he does his best to rule Darya. At 26 years old, Kavan married his sweetheart and now has a six year old daughter. When he was 34, he welcomed his new general, Viktoria Kozlov.
